Today, I just want to share with all of you a short post to encourage you to be active in your faith however you can. I just posted this to Instagram and then thought I should share it here, too! Will and I have been so inspired over the years by seeing people live out their faith boldly, outside the comfort and safety of the church building. We’re called to be the salt of the earth and light of the world (Matthew 5:13-14), so this requires us to actually get out there in it and do something! It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it. If nothing else, you’re making Abba smile. You never know who you may reach, or how. But I can guarantee you that God will put people and opportunities in your path. Just be faithful. And get creative!
This is something we’ve started doing and while we haven’t seen a lot of “traffic” yet, we’re trusting God to provide…the people He wants to send our way, and in His perfect timing. We just say, “here we are, Lord…use us…” and He always does. In some way or another. We had this sign made and it says, “The church meets here…join us! All are welcome!” We also give out Bibles, tracts, and cards that we had made with all of the places they can find us (& find out more about us). We call this “church without walls.” Jesus said where 2 or 3 or gathered, He’s there with us (Mt. 18:20) & we know that He is. We can attest to this. We have some of the most awesome, Spirit-filled, prayerful, worship time when it’s just the 3 of us.
Matthew 5:16 tells us to let our light shine so that people would see our good deeds and glorify our Father in heaven. We have about 6 or 7 (or more) cities around our region and on Saturdays that we don’t go to Planned Parenthood, we plan to start doing this all around the area. So please pray for good fruit for the Kingdom. Amen and thank you…as always, let’s be about the Father’s business and spur one another on to good works!!
Here’s a bonus for y’all…”Beebaw” (he’s Peepaw but Hogie can’t say it yet so Beebaw is all that everyone hears 24/7…so sweet!!!) and the little light of our life praising Jesus to the song that follows.
