“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” 2 Corinthians 5:17
That’s ok! You’re absolutely welcome here. I wanted to write a blog post about salvation, as I added this document to our “Resources” page last night, but just in case someone who has not yet come to Christ happens upon my blog and sees this post before seeing it there, I decided today that I want it to be in both places. Please be sure to check that page out too, as there are lots of valuable resources for growing in your walk with Christ, once you’ve said “yes” to Him.
This is our ultimate goal and life’s mission and the purpose of us using this platform–reaching the lost for Christ and helping the Body however we can to grow in Him and stand firm to the end. So if you have not yet come into a saving relationship with the Creator of all the universe, I’m glad that you’re here and it’s no accident. Please read through the following document which I wrote last year and have taken several ladies through. I called it “Foundations of Faith,” and that’s what it is–a very detailed, yet basic understanding of Christianity. It is a document written with the intention of using it in a discipleship setting, where someone who’s farther along in their walk would use it to take a new believer (or someone who’s never been discipled) through. This isn’t a class…it’s a lifestyle. A journey. A faith walk. Modeled by our Lord Jesus Himself. I am more than happy to walk through this with anyone interested and I can be reached through many different avenues here on the blog, but I’ll give my email address here for ease of use. It’s email@example.com.
It is my sincerest hope and prayer that this is easy enough for all to understand yet complete enough to give a defense/answer to every person for the hope that lies within me (1 Peter 3:15).
The rest of the portion of Scripture I shared at the top describes my heart and intent in writing and sharing this here:
“18And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. 19For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. 20So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” 21For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin,e so that we could be made right with God through Christ.”
I am an ambassador of Jesus Christ, a representative of the King of kings and Lord of lords, and I plead with you today…COME BACK TO GOD!!! Be made right with God through Christ. I love you too much to see you walk willfully into Hell. I want to welcome you, instead, into the family of God today. My prayer for you is this:
I pray today for whoever may read this…If they have not yet surrendered their life to Christ’s care and control, that TODAY would be their day of salvation!! I pray that they have read through the study that I wrote and placed here today, as you moved me to do this for their benefit. This is just another way that You have sovereignly worked in their life to introduce them to Your great love for them through Your Son, Jesus Christ. I pray that they would give You their whole heart and soul and very life today, and that Your sweet Holy Spirit would take up residence in them and move in great power and strength to make ALL things about them new. For this is how great and awesome, holy and mighty You are…You don’t leave us unchanged when You save us! May they understand that repenting of their sin and trusting in Your for everlasting life is just the beginning with so much more to come. I pray for their journey with You…that you would set them on the right path and bring people in their life who will benefit them in their walk with You. May they know that You are always here, always with them, always growing and changing them to look more like Christ their Savior. And that I am always here too, to help in any way I can. I love You, Lord, more than life itself, and it was a great honor, joy, and privilege for me to write and publish this today, in Your service and for Your glory. I pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.
