Who (or What) Are You Trusting In?

1 Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust Him. 3 For He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. 4 He will cover you with His feathers. He will shelter you with His wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. 5 Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. 6 Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. 7 Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. 8 Just open your eyes, and see how the wicked are punished. 9 If you make the LORD your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, 10 no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. 11 For He will order His angels to protect you wherever you go. 12 They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone. 13 You will trample upon lions and cobras; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet! 14 The LORD says, “I will rescue those who love Me. I will protect those who trust in My name. 15 When they call on Me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. 16 I will reward them with a long life and give them My salvation.”

*WARNING: This may offend some people. It is not meant to, but I am aware that we live in a day where most everyone is offended over something. I bring this with an attitude of love and humility…but sometimes the truth hurts and is hard to hear. That doesn’t change Scripture. Scripture is meant to change US. If it is not your ultimate authority, you probably don’t want to read any further.

Having said that…We live in a crazy world today and a very stupid time, honestly. Hear me out. As people who have put our faith in Christ alone for salvation and trust Him wholeheartedly for both today and for all of eternity, we are called to be aware of what is going on around us so that we can warn others of the impending doom to come on the earth before the Lord makes His triumphant return. We are still in the world but we have been called to come out OF the world. Meaning we don’t look to the things that the world looks to for comfort, security, protection, hope, etc. We look to Christ and to Him alone. We find our safety and provision in Him. No matter what. We have a higher purpose and we trust in all His promises. We don’t look to this world to give us these things. Period. We trust our Maker, our Creator, our Savior, our Lord, our King, our Father. He knows what is best for us at all times.

These past two years have completely turned this world upside down. There’s so much chaos, turmoil, fear, and division everywhere you turn. There is a worldwide agenda being played out before our very eyes and the whole narrative is fear-driven in order to control the masses. You would have to be living under a rock to not see this. But as a follower of Christ, the ROCK of our salvation and our solid Foundation, we are called to NOT be fearful. I’ve heard there are at least 365 “do not fear’s” in the Bible, one for every day of the year. I’m not sure if that’s true or not, but I do know there are a LOT in there. And for good reason. When we live in fear, it clouds our judgment and our thinking, and it takes our focus off of God and we start trusting in ourselves or other people or things. I have said from the beginning of this “pandemic” that this is such a dangerous thing because it’s headed toward something much more nefarious, I believe.

I do NOT think that the vax is the mark of the beast, but I think we on a slippery slope here. Revelation 13:17 says, “16He required everyone—small and great, rich and poor, free and slave—to be given a mark on the right hand or on the forehead. 17And no one could buy or sell anything without that mark, which was either the name of the beast or the number representing his name.” And what is the “vax passport” for? So that we can’t participate in society unless we are “fully vaxxed.” Again, if you can’t see that this is heading into dangerous territory, I pray you will wake up and see clearly the stage that’s being set before us.

Again, we are NOT called to live in fear. Absolutely not! FEAR is what is making people comply and fall in line with all of these radical, crazy things that never would have been so widely accepted any other time in our history. Fear of death, fear of losing jobs, fear of getting sick which makes you afraid of getting together with people you love, fear of EVERYTHING. “GOD has not given you a spirit of fear and timidity, but of POWER, LOVE, and SELF-DISCIPLINE.” So where does fear come from?? NOT FROM GOD, so it comes from the enemy. And He is ruling the media, the government, and all of the people who’s trust are in these areas rather than in Him. This is an anti-God, anti-Christ agenda from the pit of hell. God has called us to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world, moving POWERFULLY and in LOVE toward the lost, to bring them into His Kingdom before this whole thing wraps up. When our eyes are on ourselves and our fears, we are not fulfilling our purpose. That’s exactly where the enemy of our souls wants us.

Does it surprise God? Does it thwart His plan? Absolutely not. Nothing ever has, ever could, or ever will. He is completely sovereign and completely in control, and all of this absurdity is going to take place to usher in the Antichrist and then King Jesus!!! So we fix our eyes on the Prize and we trust in His promises and NOTHING that this world offers. I suggest that if you struggle with fear (and who doesn’t at times, let’s be honest…but we don’t LIVE there), you make Psalm 91 your anthem. Your vax. It is ours. It is Who and what we trust in. He is our Shelter, our Rest, our Safety, our Refuge, our God, our Protection, our Armor, our Salvation. Why should we fear?! Fear comes from self-preservation. We don’t need to strive to preserve ourselves or our lives. They are only temporary and God has all of our days numbered anyway. Let’s make the most of the time we have on this planet and regardless of what’s going on all around us…NO MATTER WHAT, I say again–fix our eyes on the Prize, King Jesus, and be about the Father’s business because the time is short and the Day is near. Amen.
