“Our God is a God Who saves! The Sovereign Lord rescues us from death.” Psalms 68:20
Happy Friday, y’all! I had this simple yet profound thought on my mind and heart this morning. The Basis of our faith and the Subject of our worship…our God Who saves!!! He is so good. He is so righteous. He is so holy. He is so awesome. He is so loving. He is so kind. He is so just. He is so merciful. He is so forgiving. He is so patient. He is so long-suffering. He is so zealous over us. And He is always at work, bringing sinners back into a relationship with Himself. Rescuing, redeeming, saving, setting free, transforming, equipping, moving, guiding, teaching, empowering, and using…the least of these. Wow.
Do you ever just quiet yourself and think on all of this amazing stuff? If it’s been a while, how about now? If you feel like you’re a million miles away from God, that gap is quickly closed with the first step back toward Him. He’s never moved. Do you find yourself worried and anxious over loved ones you’ve been praying for that haven’t yet come to know this God Who saves? I understand. I feel that way, too, a lot of times. But we have to remember that this same God who is all of the things I listed above (and way more) loves and cares for them just as much as He loves and cares for you, and loves them even more than you do. Nothing and no one is beyond His reach to save, the same way He saved you. Period. Trust Him, trust His timing, and let Him grow you in patience as you experience His patience with them.
I felt like someone (me included) needed to hear this today. Wherever you are, He’s got you. And He is MIGHTY to save. Mighty to love. Speaking of…I love this song, too. You get a two-fer today. A two for one special. lol. This is Micah Tyler. We are proud of him because he’s from our little small town area! Hope you all enjoy. Have a wonderful weekend!
