Happy Saturday, y’all! I hope you have all had a great week and that you’re headed into the weekend ready to relax and have some time of refreshing. Today, I wanted to share about God’s faithfulness in answering several prayers for us lately. It’s always a great thing to share how we see Him moving in our lives, don’t you think? It’s a boost for our faith!
So we have been praying hard for my daughter the past month or so now, as she is 22 weeks pregnant and has been having some issues with her heart rate going really high at times. We have had to take her to the E.R. several times and a cardiologist, along with other doctors and specialists. This was all very scary but as always, we turned to God, the Great Physician, and we asked Him to cover and protect and heal her and keep baby Mae Mae safe (her name is Gracelyn Mae but I’ve already got a nickname for sweet baby girl)…and He has answered our prayers! She and baby are both doing well and everything is looking good! Please continue to pray for them with us, for a safe and healthy pregnancy and full-term delivery in March 2022. Thank you in advance!
Another prayer we saw answered this past week was with our grandbaby, Hogan (“Hogie”…yeah, I’m all about the nicknames, lol). He was really sick and not acting like himself to the point that my daughter had to take him to the E.R. too, as we thought he may have gotten dehydrated. While they were taking him to the hospital, we were having some serious prayer time. The next thing we knew, they were sending him home, and he’s been totally fine since! He was limp and pale and so pitiful looking before he went and after our prayer, God has continued to heal Him and bring him back to his cute little normal self.
Will had some pain in his side and prayed over himself and now it’s gone. We also had another healing incident last month where he’d been in a lot of pain so I prayed over him and now it’s gone too! We also have a man that we prayed with and for, and they thought he was going to need a heart transplant but miraculously recovered and is completely fine now (these were the doctor’s words)! Will also had an opportunity to pray for a man at Chick-fil-A this past week who’s just been diagnosed with cancer, so we are praying for him (Bill is his name if you’d like to pray for him too) to be healed too.
These are just a few examples of ways we have seen God work lately through healings. We talked about this on our podcast last night and as we said there, it’s not up to us to heal the person–that’s God’s work and God’s will and He will work however He wants to…it’s our job to have the faith and the courage to pray when and where the Holy Spirit prompts us to and believe that He is good and faithful, He hears us, and He answers.
Another way that God is answering our prayers right now is by sustaining us in our slow season of work. Having our own business requires complete trust and faith in God as our Provider and our Supply. He more than meets our needs, always. He has shown His faithfulness as we work for His glory and put Him first in all we do. We know He cares for us more than the flowers of the field and the birds of the air, so we don’t have to fear or worry. He is so good to us!!!
My encouragement for today is to think on His faithfulness. There is so much we have all been blessed with and so many ways that He shows His goodness in our life. In fact, on that note I will close and leave y’all with two awesome songs today that proclaim Him as our faithful God and that we see His evidence all over our lives. Amen!!
